In loving memory of Bill LaVorgna - Our "Pappy"

What wonderful memories. I will never forget our meetings with Pappy. He is the most easiest man in the world to talk to. We saw him outside the theatre on his cell phone and once he had finished with his call, we started chatting to him. He stood and talked to us for about half an hour, telling us about his house in Florida and how he loved to go fishing. I loved the shirt he had on that day. Tells you so much about his personality.

He was the most talented musician I had ever had the privilege of seeing. He was a joy to listen to and a joy to watch. He had such a friendly persona about him, you felt at complete ease around him.

I was lucky enough to have a quick word with him at Liza's concert in Germany last July and meeting him again was such a joy...I can't express it. We will miss you pappy. God bless.

"Most of the time it is fun being Liza. What aggravates me is when you read something about yourself that you haven't done or said. And you think 'Wow, how do people get away with doing that?'. Then there's the assumption that you don't have all the ordinary feelings that everybody else does. That you're not like everybody else, that you're special. When, in fact, you are not special, you just have a talent in a certain area, and you're lucky to have that talent. As far as everything else goes, you're exactly like everyone else."

"I like my fans. I think I would hate it without them. The only thing I do object to is that sometimes you go someplace and you can't do what you'd like to do when you get there, like the other night I was in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. After the show we went to a discotheque, and for no reason at all there were so many security guards around me that it was impossible to get up and dance. And you know I love to dance. I didn't ask to be guarded. The people around you sometimes get carried away. They become overprotective and they can overprotect you right out of a good time. Also, the people who meet me under these circumstances never get to meet me. That's the part of it I don't like."
